Jayanth is an accomplished Global business leader in the eye health sector and is currently involved in many eye health acceleration initiatives around the World. He is a strong campaigner for greater eye health access and awareness.

After a long and successful professional career with the eye care leader Essilor International, Jayanth retired as its Chief Mission Officer and Executive committee member in 2021. During his tenure with Essilor, he is credited with launching and developing the business in India and in many other countries. One of the highlights is creating first-time primary eye care access to over 500 million people living in low and middle-income countries. 

He is driven by a strong purpose to bring good vision to everyone everywhere and this has been a huge part of his life and career. Jayanth serves on many boards of large Global Non Profits in the Eye care space and other large eye health acceleration initiatives.
